Practical: Driving licence and theory test pass certificate
What does the practical test involve?
Tests are usually around 35-40 minutes long, and include:
- Eyesight test (you will be asked to read a car number plate from 20 or 20.5 metres depending on new or old style of number plate)
- Two show me/tell me vehicle safety questions
- 1 manoeuvre
- 20 minutes of independent driving (4 in 5 will follow a Sat-Nav)
- May involve a controlled stop
